# Buy It Now (BIN)

BIN stands for Buy It Now. It is a fixed price listed on a domain. A buyer who pays that price can buy the name immediately, with no negotiation.

## Why it matters

A BIN price removes friction. The buyer sees the cost and can pay at once, often through escrow. Sellers use BIN prices on marketplaces so interested buyers can act fast. The risk is setting the number too low and getting an instant sale at less than the name is worth. A common mistake is also setting it too high, which stops serious buyers from asking. Many sellers pair a BIN with a make-offer option.
