Why it matters
Chip domains came from demand among Chinese buyers. Buyers in that market drove high prices around 2015, and the class is still traded. Values depend on the letter mix and on current demand in that region, which can swing. Western buyers often do not value them. A common mistake is paying a premium without knowing which letters or patterns the Chinese market wants. Ask for recent comparable sales in that class. Do not assume a lack of vowels makes a name valuable.
