# Email deliverability

Email deliverability is how reliably your messages reach the inbox instead of spam or being blocked. A domain's history and its email authentication settings strongly affect it.

## Why it matters

A used or expired domain can carry a spam past that harms inbox placement. Google requires bulk senders to set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, and to keep spam rates under 0.3 percent. Buyers should check the domain's mail history and set up authentication before sending. A new, clean domain needs a slow start to build trust. Common mistake: buying a name and launching a large email campaign on day one. That can cause blocks, so warm the domain with small, steady sends.
