# Internet Commerce Association (ICA)

The Internet Commerce Association is a nonprofit, founded in 2006, that represents domain investors and related service providers. It advocates for domain owners with policymakers and in ICANN processes.

## Why it matters

Members include investors, marketplaces, brokers, escrow services, registrars and attorneys. ICA works on rules such as the UDRP and policy changes that affect owners. It also hosts an annual member meeting and webinars. For buyers and sellers, ICA signals where the industry stands on rights and rules. A common mistake is thinking ICA sets prices or rules. It argues for members, and ICANN sets policy. Its public statements can help you follow policy changes.
