# Sedo

Sedo is a long-running domain marketplace. It lets owners list names for sale, run auctions, park domains and hire brokers. It charges commission on completed sales.

## Why it matters

Sedo is one of the older aftermarket venues, with a large global user base. Its price list shows commissions of 10%, 15% or 20%, depending on the sale route. Sellers can list with a fixed price or accept offers. Buyers can contact the owner or hire a broker. A common mistake is assuming one marketplace reaches every buyer. Many sellers list at several venues and compare results. Always check the current fee table before you list.
