It’s been a while since we’ve done a post examining recent domain upgrades and acquisitions by startups and corporations, so we figured it was time to share a few from this year. As expected, more and more companies are realizing that the world’s best brands are one word names and they need the matching .COM domain to be relevant. Below are 33 domains that changed hands in the first half of 2021. Most of these are one word .COMs that were acquired as an upgrade from a two word domain or one word with an alternative extension (.io, .app, .me, etc).
