It’s been almost a year since we’ve done an update highlighting some recent domain upgrades and acquisitions by startups and companies. As expected, the trend continues with one word .COMs leading the charge. Below are 35 domains that recently changed hands. Most of them are already in use by the companies that bought them and are now their forever brand.

A big shoutout goes to James Illes of [JamesNames.com](http://jamesnames.com/) for being such a great domain sleuth and tracking so many great domain acquisitions. Between his blog and [Twitter feed](https://twitter.com/jamesiles), we were able to compile this list.
