Parking

Parking is placing a domain on a simple page that shows ads or a for-sale notice instead of a full website. The owner may earn money when visitors click ads.

Why it matters

Parking pays little today, but it can show which domains get traffic. A parked page can also say the domain is for sale. Sedo's parking program pays a share of ad revenue. A common mistake is leaving a parked page with ads for a brand-sensitive name. It can look like a cybersquatting attempt and raise legal risk. Check the content that your parking provider shows. Use parking only when it fits your plans for the name.
