Concierge escrow

Concierge escrow is a hands-on escrow service where staff guide the buyer and seller through payment and domain transfer. It is used for higher-value or complex deals.

Why it matters

Standard escrow is a self-serve process, while concierge service adds a human who watches each step. For large sales, this helps when a buyer is new to domains or the seller has a large registrar account with many steps. Fees and features depend on the provider, so confirm the terms before agreeing. Escrow protects both sides: the buyer pays Escrow.com, the seller transfers the name, and the funds release after the buyer approves it. Common mistake: moving a domain before the payment is confirmed as held by the escrow agent.
