Why it matters
DNSSEC helps block attacks that redirect visitors to fake sites. It adds a link between the registry and your DNS host through a DS record. The catch for transfers is that DNSSEC can break a domain if handled badly. If a domain moves to a new DNS provider without updating or removing the DS record, the site can fail to resolve. Ask the seller or buyer to remove or replace DNSSEC settings before changing name servers.
