Domain authority

Domain Authority is a score from 1 to 100 created by Moz. It predicts how likely a site is to rank in search results compared with competitors. It is not a Google metric.

Why it matters

Sellers sometimes advertise a high domain authority on aged domains. Moz says DA is not a direct Google ranking factor. Other tools publish similar scores under other names. The numbers can be useful as a rough link-profile signal but are easy to inflate with spammy links. A common mistake is paying extra for a score. Check the actual backlinks, the history and any penalties before you pay for an aged domain.
