Biggest Domain Sales of 2026 So Far: Top 25 Through Q3

AI.com at $70 million leads DNJournal's 2026 chart, followed by Club.com at $10 million and Green.com at $7.5 million. Of the top 25 reported sales, 19 are .com and six are .ai. DNJournal counts eight seven-figure sales. Most large deals stay private, so any list shows only part of the market.

The biggest domain sales of 2026 follow a clear pattern: one-word .com names, short .com names and a strong group of .ai names. Below is the top of the leaderboard, how we grouped it, and what the data can and cannot tell you. Figures come from DNJournal and NameBio, with dates.

What are the biggest domain sales of 2026?

AI.com at $70 million is first, then Club.com at $10 million and Green.com at $7.5 million. This is DNJournal’s 2026 year-to-date chart, reported through October 4, 2026. DNJournal’s date column shows when a sale was published, not when it closed.

Rank Domain Price Venue or broker as listed Published
1 AI.com $70,000,000 GetYourDomain.com / DomainAssets 2/18/26
2 Club.com $10,000,000 ATM Holdings (Andrew Miller) / Hilco Digital 4/29/26
3 Green.com $7,500,000 ATM Holdings (Andrew Miller) 5/15/26
4 Mogul.com $1,300,000 LegalBrandMarketing 10/7/26
5 NAS.com $1,250,000 Lumis 4/29/26
6 Bot.ai $1,200,000 Sedo 3/4/26
7 Midnight.com $1,150,000 Sedo 1/7/26
8 HighLevel.com $1,000,000 Private sale 5/15/26
9 Derm.com $825,000 QEIP.com 7/8/26
10 Stan.com $750,000 GetYourDomain / Lumis.com 8/26/26

DNJournal counts eight sales at $1 million or more so far this year. It says many others at that level are not reported because of NDAs. To make its top 100, a sale needs at least $95,000.

None of these deals is ours, and we do not claim any of them.

How do the top 25 group by pattern?

Most are .com names. We counted 19 .com and six .ai names in the top 25, using the DNJournal chart. We then sorted them by what the buyer paid for.

Pattern Examples (price) What the buyer pays for
One-word .com Club.com ($10M), Green.com ($7.5M), Mogul.com ($1.3M), Midnight.com ($1.15M) A clear word that fits a category or brand
Short .com NAS.com ($1.25M), C4.com ($265,000), TXT.com ($502,250) Short, easy to say, easy to type
Brandable .com Stan.com ($750,000), Evan.com ($400,000), Amos.com ($365,000), Twig.com ($695,000) A short, brandable name
.ai Bot.ai ($1.2M), Genesis.ai ($400,000), Lotus.ai ($400,000), Act.ai ($375,000), Free.ai ($350,000), Neo.ai ($275,000) A word that signals AI work
Category .com Bar.com ($500,000), Pub.com ($500,000), Derm.com ($825,000) A whole industry in one name

The categories overlap, so use them as a guide. Our glossary entry on one-word .com names explains why they hold value.

How many .ai names made the top 25?

Six, and all of them are one-word names: Bot.ai, Genesis.ai, Lotus.ai, Act.ai, Free.ai and Neo.ai. Act.ai at $375,000 joined the chart in the October update. DNJournal’s ccTLD chart shows Spaceship as the listed venue for many other .ai sales in the $100,000 range.

Is the market up from 2025?

By the reported numbers, yes. DNJournal said on July 28 that, if you remove AI.com, first-half 2026 sales were running about 15% ahead of the first half of 2025. With AI.com included, DNJournal says the first-half dollar total was far above any it has ever reported.

NameBio data points the same way. A NamePros analysis found about 128,300 NameBio-listed sales in the first half of 2026, with nearly $146 million in dollar volume. That is up 19.3% from the first half of 2025. The author warns that marketplace and reporting changes probably explain part of the gain.

Which venues and brokers closed the biggest deals?

A mix. From the DNJournal top 25: ATM Holdings appears on Club.com and Green.com. Sedo appears on Bot.ai, Midnight.com and C4.com. Legal Brand Marketing appears on Mogul.com and Evan.com. Atom.com appears on Zano.com, Free.ai, and, with DomainBooth, on Genesis.ai and Neo.ai.

The column mixes marketplaces and individual brokers, so do not read it as a market-share table. For the difference between the two routes, see domain marketplaces vs. brokers.

DNJournal and NameBio also do not agree on everything. NameBio’s 2026 chart ranks Green.com first at $7.5 million. It lists Workspace.com at $1.45 million and Mom.com at $1.1 million. It does not show AI.com or Club.com. NameBio counts all-cash sales by sale date, and DNJournal charts by report date.

Why are so many big sales private?

Because buyers and sellers want it that way. Club.com is an example. DNJournal reports that Andrew Miller’s team handled a $10 million sale that closed in June 2025, and it became public in April 2026. AI.com closed in April 2025 and was revealed in February 2026.

So the “2026 sales” list holds deals that closed in 2025. DNJournal said in July that most of the largest sales fall under NDA and that thousands more sell privately or through platforms that do not share data. Any leaderboard is a floor, not a total. Read how this works in our post on stealth acquisitions and the AI.com deal.

What does this mean for buyers and sellers?

The top of the market pays for clear words and short names. If you own one, a broker can place it with an end user, the company that will use the name. If you want one, expect to negotiate with an owner who may never have listed it.

Questions this post answers

What are the biggest domain sales of 2026?

On DNJournal's chart, the top three are AI.com at $70 million, Club.com at $10 million and Green.com at $7.5 million. Mogul.com ($1.3 million), NAS.com ($1.25 million), Bot.ai ($1.2 million) and Midnight.com ($1.15 million) follow.

How many .ai names made the top 25?

Six. Bot.ai ($1.2 million), Genesis.ai ($400,000), Lotus.ai ($400,000), Act.ai ($375,000), Free.ai ($350,000) and Neo.ai ($275,000). The other 19 names in the top 25 are .com, including AI.com.

Is the market up from 2025?

The reported data says yes. DNJournal said in July that, without AI.com, first-half 2026 sales ran about 15% ahead of the first half of 2025. A NamePros analysis of NameBio data found dollar volume up 19.3%, though it says reporting changes may explain part of that.

Which venues and brokers closed the biggest deals?

DNJournal lists ATM Holdings (Andrew Miller) on Club.com and Green.com. Sedo appears on Bot.ai, Midnight.com and C4.com. Legal Brand Marketing appears on Mogul.com and Evan.com. Atom.com appears on several .ai and .com sales. Those are only reported deals.

Why are so many big sales private?

Buyers and sellers often sign non-disclosure agreements. Buyers may not want rivals to learn their plans, and sellers may not want to anchor future prices. DNJournal notes most of the biggest sales are under NDA, so public lists show a small part of the market.
